The Role:??
This role essentially brings together the management of various work packages, tasks and stakeholder engagement/communications activities to deliver support to the refresh of Academic RISC. There will be key deliverables with deadlines (for example supporting activities for Security and Policing 12-14th March 2024) and some that will be ongoing in support of securing long-term funding, advocacy and outcomes for the network. You will work alongside key leaders in both JSaRC (Home Office) and Cranfield University and will engage with a broad set of stakeholders across UK Government, Academia and Industry.
Key deliverables below are examples of the activities required; prioritisation of these will depend upon funding secured and the organisation providing this, plus availability of other organisations to deliver core work packages.

Planning and Organising
You will be expected to organise and manage your workload and will often be required to work with minimal supervision.?? As different tasks will require different time periods for planning, flexibility and good coordination skills will be important.??
You should have strong project management skills, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are achieved to time and to high quality.
Communicating and influencing
Proven external stakeholder management experience is required with evidence of regular interactions with a variety of external people and agencies, including companies, research agencies, and governmental and other non-governmental organisations.
You will be expected to influence, negotiate, exercise diplomacy and deploy emotional intelligence and to work constructively with a wide range of individuals.
Problem solving
You will have a high degree of autonomy in how your objectives are achieved and will be expected to pro-actively resolve issues, demonstrating initiative and leadership in problem solving on a daily basis.
You will be accountable for delivering the optimum solution to problems, ensuring that any difficulties encountered are resolved with the minimum amount of disruption, and embedding solutions when appropriate in improved processes and/or suggested new ways of working to improve the future efficient and effective delivery of organisation level objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
    Developing a plan for how the next steps for ARISC are developed and work on the governance/best home for the secretariat given opportunities to collaborate with other Home Office functions/UKRI.Delivery of value-add events for academia against JSaRC priorities (e.g., knife crime) - aiming to host at universities. Support to a UKRI bid if needed for post-March funding if Pool Re/Home Office route isn???t successful.
    Support to ARISC projects e.g., working with the Home Office in shaping their innovation/education zone or similar for the Security and Policing show (Farnborough 13th-14th March 2024)Review of the current ARISC contacts list and looking for opportunities to grow/develop this. GDPR compliance and ensuring the way we are managing the growing list of members is as efficient and coherent with other ways of working and Cranfield teams running similar models, collaborates with relevant external stakeholders, for example KTN Innovate. Leadership of projects coming under funding for ARISC; for example, re-branding, governance model, establishing ways of working with KTN innovate.Accompanying visits to ARISC member universities in support of the ARISC chair/co-chairs and KTN Innovate/other partners.Support ARISC Chair/Co-Chair in managing key ARISC stakeholders and producing and distributing communications regarding the development of the network. Regular communication with the ARISC network, sharing opportunities from wider Gov into the academic network and exploring options for a regular bulletin/newsletter (funding dependent).

Requirements:
    Project Management Qualification (e.g., APMP, Prince 2) ???
