Job Description
- Plant Care: Watering, fertilizing, pruning, and maintaining plants to ensure they are healthy and attractive for customers. This might involve knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements.
- Stocking and Merchandising: Assisting with the arrangement and display of plants and gardening products to make them appealing to customers. This could involve setting up displays, organizing inventory, and restocking shelves.
- Customer Service: Providing assistance and advice to customers on plant selection, care, and gardening tips. This may involve answering questions, offering recommendations, and helping customers find specific products.
- General Maintenance: Keeping the nursery area clean and organized, including sweeping floors, tidying shelves, and removing dead leaves or debris from plants.
- Pricing and Labeling: Ensuring that all plants and products are properly labeled with accurate prices and information.
- Potting and Repotting: Assisting with potting plants, including transferring them to larger containers as they grow or repotting plants for customers.
- Plant Knowledge: Developing a good understanding of different plant varieties, their care requirements, and common pests or diseases they may encounter.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient operation of the nursery and provide excellent customer service.
