This exciting opportunity is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week with an offer of a Welcome Bonus!
Some of the key duties involved are:
- In your role as a Garden Services Operative, you'll carry out the grounds maintenance of our communal green spaces.
- Maintain the upkeep of all landscaped areas, ensuring pathways and hard standings are maintained and clear of debris.
- Operate landscaping machinery, ride-on mowers, strimmer's, hedge cutters and blowers.
- Working on your own and as part of a team.
- Provide a high-quality service to residents.
- Working outside all year round, working in inclement weather conditions as well as exposure to cold/heat and noise.
- Keep accurate records of your work, sharing best practice and ways of working to improve the service, learning from experience when things don't go to plan.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
- No weekend working
Requirements
As you will be interacting with our customers and colleagues, we are looking for someone who has good customer service skills with the ability to work both within a team and on your own. You will also have:
- Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping - ideally two years
- Ideally, hold an NPTC qualification in brush cutter (strimmer), pedestrian mower, ride on mower, hedge cutter and PA1 and PA6 in spraying pesticides (not essential - training is available where required)
- Have a good understanding of health and safety, COSHH requirements
- Have basic IT knowledge and comfortable using mobile devices (training will be provided)
- Be punctual and a positive attitude
- Full clean driving licence.
- Build effective relationships based on trust and respect and be a great ambassador for The Guinness Partnership
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture or equivalent
- PA1, PA4b & PA6 NPTC Certificates
We are offering a Welcome Bonus is payable in 2 parts. £500 is paid in your first month's salary and £500 is paid when you pass your probation. To be eligible for the Welcome Bonus you must be an external applicant and not currently employed by The Guinness Partnership.
