SalaryBright Side Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be assisting a dynamic and expanding Gardening and Grounds Maintenance business in their search for a Gardener / Grounds Maintenance
Based in Bromley, this opportunity is being offered on full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, undertaking light gardening duties whilst ensuring safe and efficient transportation of garden maintenance machinery, tools, and materials.
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to fill the role of Gardener / Driver. The primary responsibilities include:
Driver Responsibilities:
- Driving a 3.5t flatbed van, safely delivering tools and materials to and from client sites
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle
- Assisting with loading and unloading of equipment or materials
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
Gardener Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the appearance of the grounds, including mowing, weeding, pruning, and watering
- Planting new trees, shrubs, flowers, and maintaining existing landscape features
- Applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed, following safety protocols
- Clearing and disposing of plant waste
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools
- Keeping pathways and outdoor areas clear of debris
What do you need?
- Valid driver's licence (Cat B) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial setting
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping preferred
- Ability to operate gardening equipment safely
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
