The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Garment Technologist to join an established supplier to the high street retailers. The ideal candidate would have a strong apparel background and advantageous if worked within a supplier and or with licensed products.
The Role:
- Working to critical paths.
- Fitting samples and comparing to previous comments.
- Liaising with the merchandisers to ensure critical path dates are met.
- Managing individual customers block size specs.
- Quality control and checking for measurement discrepancies etc.
- Attending regular fit sessions and ensuring paperwork and documents are updated and correct.
- Updating size specs and workbooks with customer comments.
- Sending all comments and updated workbooks / size specs to the factory and ensuring they understand all requirements.
- Amending size specs.
- Garment risk assessments.
- Communicate with the customer and factory on a daily basis.
- Liaising with factories for required fit / sealing / production samples and all relevant paperwork.
Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar position.
- Must have worked to and followed critical path.
- Have a thorough understanding of 1st fit through to production.
- Working within ladies, men’s and childrenswear is essential.
- Ability to advise on construction at initial stage.
- Gold seal and testing knowledge
- PC literate
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
