Reporting into the Technology Manager the Garment Technologist works closely within
the whole Product team of Buyers, Merchandisers, Designer and Technologists. This role
will be working within WWNC team based in Leicester

Working as part of a dynamic and experienced team, this role is a great opportunity to join
a key part of WWNC team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to continue
working closely with buying and design to develop the best in class products but also
experience working with licence brands.
The Role…
● Provide technical support to the Product Teams and Suppliers and liaising with
the warehouse on returns issues.
● Drive front end product development and new technical initiatives.
● Monitor the critical path ensuring the product approval procedure is followed
and exceptions are raised as necessary.
● Lead the Technology process from: the initial creation of design packs;
conducting fit sessions and issuing detailed technical information and size
specifications, to preparing for Range Direction and Block meetings.
● Resolve technical issues and warehouse returns issues that arise, by finding
and advising an appropriate solution.
● Establish a sourcing strategy including factory evaluations and development of
suppliers to meet requirements.
● Maintaining the standard of fit and construction across supplier base
About You…

● Experienced Garment Technologist skilled in pattern cutting, construction and
manufacturing methods.
● Technical knowledge gained preferably within a fast paced retail or supplier
environment.
● Flexible approach to be able to adjust to the constantly changing needs of the
business.
● Ability to convey technical information clearly in layman’s terms.
● Exceptional eye for technical detail to consistently ensure quality standards are
achieved.
● Demonstrate an awareness of current technical innovations within the garment
and fashion industry.
Skills and Qualifications you have…
● Extensive technical knowledge - both garment and / or fabric
● Highly organised with good prioritisation skills.
● Confident and clear communication skills; both verbal and written to work
productively alongside Product teams and external suppliers.
● Manufacturing experience.
