Gas Engineer

I am currently looking for a Gas & heating Engineer for a full-time permanent position based in the oxford and surrounding areas for a facilities maintenance contractor which is undergoing significant growth in the upcoming year. Job Details:

• Monday - Friday (39 hours)
• Location: oxford and surrounding areas
• Company Van and fuel card provided.
• Tools provided.
• Training and progression opportunities
• Pension is 6
• holiday is 25 days rising to 30 after 5 years' service.
• Call our rota is 1 in 4.
• a standby payment of 30 per day along with time and a half for each call from door to door

Role and key responsibilities:

• The post holder will report to the Operations Manager and take the primary lead with all servicing and repair duties for domestic boilers, heating systems, unvented cylinders and control systems within domestic properties.
• Your role is to ensure properties are serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard.
• You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, testing, repairs and minor installations efficiently and economically in accordance with current working practices and all related health and safety legislation and good practice.
• Be able to diagnose faults and rectify in a prompt and appropriate manner.
• To complete works in conjunction with all health and safety procedures, policies and legislation.
• To work efficiently and deliver high standards of quality.
• Working unsupervised and in occupied or unoccupied (void) properties and complying with the Code of Conduct.
• To be competent in the completion of reports, ordering materials and completing orders.
• To work in a professional and courteous manner.
• To participate in an out of hours emergency rota and attend callouts as required.

Requirements:

• City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or similar
• ACS including CCN1 CEN1 WAT1
• HTR1 CKR1 CPA1
• UVHW
• Gas Safe Registered.
• Up to date with industry regulations and requirements
• Experience with fault finding on modern condensing boilers.
• Willingness to take part in the out of hours call-out rota.
• A full UK driving licence
