Location: Dartford, covering Kent and parts of South London

The difference you will make as a Gas Engineer
As a Gas Engineer, you will work as part of a busy and successful team within Riverside Property Services where you will complete a range of gas work repairs and refurbishments works on our properties. You will deliver exceptional service to all customers whilst working safely within guidance and providing quality work.
About you
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will have:
- An advanced skill set in Gas works and compliance.
- A full and current driving license
Role Profile
- All Gas work should only be completed by skilled and qualified engineers.
- You will carry out Gas repair and refurbishment work in accordance to the order provided with minimum disruption and visits within domestic properties.
- You will be required to carry on all gas work in accordance to The Gas Safety regulations 1998
- To ensuring all gas work is Inspected and tested before re connecting and all documentation is completed.
- You will be required to seek authorisation before proceeding with work if this differs from the initial work order.
- To maintain appearance, vehicle condition and Health and Safety standards when working.
- You will be expected to be customer focused in all communication with our tenants.
- You will be required to maintain worksheets for completed tasks.
- To confidently record annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risks assessment and stock replenishment documentation.
- To manage van stock materials including proactively purchasing additional supplies for scheduled work to be completed.
- Keep all company property in full working order and condition in line with the company policy and report damage as soon as it has occurred.
- Be willing to attend call out cover when required within reason and ensure all emergency repairs are completed.
- Complete all mandatory training and attend Head Office meetings when required.
Person specification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- City and Guilds Gas Engineer qualification or ACS certification
- Extensive knowledge of domestic gas installation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A sound legislative understanding of Building Control and Governing body requirements
- Able to complete works in a stand alone function whilst following standard operating procedures.
- A full current Driving Licence
Desirable
- To be a time served apprentice with a number of years’ experience in domestic gas works.
