Gas Service Repair Engineer (East)

We're recruiting a Gas Service Repair Engineer to join the fantastic Yorkshire Housing Gas Team in the East of our region. 

Here’s what you need to know: 

How much? 

We pay £37,816.20 for a 37.5-hour week.

When? 

You’ll work a 37.5-hour week, and your contracted hours will be between 8am-8pm (Mon-Fri). Between October and April, you will be on a rota and occasionally carry out services on a Saturday morning as part of your contracted hours, and there’s the opportunity to work overtime when required. 

Where? 

You’ll be based predominantly in the York and Malton areas. From time to time, you might be asked to travel to other locations across Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing 

You’ll carry out annual Gas Services/safety checks and maintain gas boilers/heating systems following the manufacturer’s instructions, in accordance with the Gas Safety (installation and use) Regulations and Yorkshire Housings policies and procedures. 

You’ll be the face of Yorkshire Housing to many of our tenants. So, respectful, warm and professional communication is a key part of this role. 

You’ll also work closely with the compliance team in ensuring work is undertaken safely. 

The stuff that sets you apart 

This role would suit someone with previous experience in servicing, installing, and repairing gas boilers and appliances in a high-volume domestic environment. 

You’ll be able to deal with different priorities and work to deadlines, whilst maintaining high standards of work. 

You’ll hold current ACS Certificates CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CKR1 or equivalent.
