As a Gas Responsive Supervisor, a typical day might include:
Carrying out the effective and efficient supervision of gas appliance repairs and servicing and other associated works undertaken on social housing properties.
Ensuring that quality standards for gas appliance repairs to properties are met and appropriate certification is in place.
Ensuring that all standard operational procedures are in place, fit for purpose and regularly reviewed for all gas works undertaken by, or on behalf, of Acis.
Undertaking all duties as required in order to comply with the Gas safe regulations and other legislation in respect of other types of heating appliances.
Ensuring that all work programmes are carried out in line with relevant protocols.
Ensuring that all works are completed to a high quality and in accordance with recognised best practice.
Checking, validating and signing off all certification and taking appropriate remedial action where certificates are inaccurate or further work is required.
Developing and maintaining All Fuel Installation Specifications.
Assisting in designing or applying policies, procedures and safe working practices.
Carrying out risk assessments for the safe completion of gas works and associated building works.
Supporting other teams in the supervision of quality for all directly employed and subcontracted gas engineers.
Undertaking investigations into accidents/near misses involving your team.
Sourcing any special materials or equipment as required ensuring that works are completed in a timely manner.
Maintaining knowledge of best practice in the sector and take part in implementing any changes in working practices
What we need to progress your application:
City and Guilds Gas or Plumbing qualifications, or equivalent at level 3 (Advanced Craft)
CCN1 Gas Safety, CEN1 Gas boiler install service and commission, WAT1 Water Heaters, HTR1 Gas fires, CPA1 Gas flue analyser, CKR1 Cooker
Experience of working with heating appliances within domestic properties, along with inspection experience and fault finding.
Experience supervising a team of gas engineers in a repairs and servicing environment.
