We are currently recruiting for a Relief General Assistant to cover sites in Dublin and surronding areas.
Location: Dublin and surrounding areas.
Rate of pay: €13.00 per hour
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday 5/7
Job purpose - To cover temporary vacancies within the businesss as a mamber of the relief team covering Dublin and surrounding areas.Key responsibilities- Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Food Service
• Serve all food to the highest standard and in line with the Gather & Gather style using the correct
tools and presentation techniques.
• Prepare and serve all beverages in a timely manner and to the Gather & Gather standard.
• To assist with food preparation in kitchen to the Gather & Gather standard as required
• To set up service counters for service and keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with
the Gather & Gather standards.
• Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen and service areas to comply with cleaning schedules.Attend to customer needs in a polite and helpful and friendly manner providing assistance where
necessary in line with the Gather & Gather style.
• Provide information to customers about the food and make recommendations.
• Work with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service.
• Under the guidance of the GM / AGM ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas.
have products correctly priced, labelled and in date.
• Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.
• Assist in the cleaning and clearing of tables polishing of cutlery.
• Clean and replenish vending machines, if necessary, with change and product and deal with minor
vending issues (blocked cans/incorrect loading). Report any vending issues that cannot be resolved to
the AGM /GM.
• Handle the till and cash sales accurately and to take responsibility for the security of all monies in the till
and assist with cashing up procedures.
• Assist in monthly stock take as directed.
Customer Service
• Maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers at the relevant site. Health & Safety
• To understand and comply with Gather & Gather and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality
standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standards.
• Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform items appropriately.
• Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazard to the GM/
AGM.
Occasional Responsibilities
• To attend training courses and attend Gather & Gather meetings when necessary
• Assist in monthly stock take as directed.
