SalaryStep Teachers are currently working with an excellent secondary school within the Glastonbury area to seek a KS3 teacher to work with small groups of students. The ideal Teacher will need to have experience working with students with SEMH and EHCP.
As young people grow up they often make mistakes and get things wrong. This is a natural part of developing as a person. Some young people find this more difficult than others for a variety of reasons. There are times when this makes a full-time placement in a mainstream school inappropriate. The school is built on core values that permeate throughout the organisation.
Role:
Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4
Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements:
Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching In Secondary Education
Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching
Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
SEND experience is desirable
- Experienced in working with students with SEMH & EHCP
