General Maintenance Operative Required

Due to continued success and growth, JEM Property Services is now looking to recruit an experienced General Maintenance Operative to join our team in Portsmouth.

JEM Property Services specialises in delivering high quality, reliable reactive repairs and maintenance to a wide portfolio of clients and offer a range of trades including gas & central heating, electrical works, plumbing, carpentry, compliance certification, decorations, tiling, refurb and project works,

Candidate criteria

As a General Maintenance Operative, you will have proven experience in carpentry, plumbing and day-to-day general reactive maintenance and property repairs, including painting & decorating, tiling and project works. In addition to these skills, you will also have the following skills and experience:

• Experience previously in reactive maintenance or property repairs sector.
• Industry recognised qualifications would be an advantage in plumbing and/or carpentry.
• Candidates who have qualification by experience will be considered.
• Asbestos Awareness certificate
• Current clean driving license
• Hold or be able pass a DBS check.
• Possess excellent communication skills, report writing and working from a PDA is required.
• Have a can-do attitude, be able to work under pressure, and within deadlines.
• Be able to get on within a team environment and also able to work solo.
