GENERAL MANAGER - COUNTRY PUB WITH BEDROOMS - NEAR WARMINSTER - SEASONAL VENUE - SALARY UP TO £50,000 + BONUSES & BENEFITS - LIVE OUT POSITION (SHORT-TERM ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE FOR A RELOCATOR)

We are assisting in the recruitment of General Manager to join this well-established and well-managed business with an established team in place.

This is a fantastic, premium site set in a picturesque village on the outskirts of Warminster, it offers a premium branded dining menu as well as a relaxed pub feel.  The large garden can cater for over 150 in the summer months.

The venue is quite seasonal, with a range of trading from £25k off peak to £60 to £70k at peak times, occupancy of the venue sits at circa 90%, with an relatively even wet and dry split across the business.  The venue has a function room, offering a mix of parties, corporate and wedding options as well as comfortable restaurant area and well stocked bar.

We are looking for a General Manager to inherit this successful business, which has previously been held by a long-established manager until last year. You will:

• Maintain and build on the successful reputation of the business
• Engage with your team of circa 35 team members and ensure the high level of customer service expected
• Control budgets and manage the P&L of the business
• Identify new opportunities for the business
• Engage with the local community and promote the venue both locally and on-line
• Organise bookings and provide accurate forecasting

Reporting the Area Operations Manager, you will have gained experience in a premium dining establishment and have experience in a venue that generates in excess of £1.5m per annum.  You will:

• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to market the business both locally and via social network
• Understand a seasonal site, able to work in venues that can hit £70k peak season and £20k off season
• Be someone who can fully engage with your team and lead them to deliver exceptional service
• Understand branded processes but retain a degree of entrepreneurship and taking ownership of the venue
