My client is currently looking for a General Waste Porter, to play a crucial part in maintaining a hygienic environment and overall cleanliness of their site. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, making sure that waste containers are filled, emptied and manoeuvred safely.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role. You will be required to drive their company vehicle to different compounds on site, you must hold a full UK valid driving licence. For insurance reasons, you will be required to be 25 years old or more.
This role is working on a temporary basis with a view to become permanent. The working days and hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm, there will be an opportunity to work over time once trained within the role.
Duties include:
- Collect general waste from designated areas
- Properly segregate waste according to guidelines, ensuring disposal protocols are adhered to
- Regularly inspect and maintain waste disposal equipment, such as bins and carts, to ensure proper functioning
