Hours: 31.25 hours per week. term time only.

The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic
person to complement our hard working and friendly team at Boroughbridge
Primary school and Nursery.
The successful candidate will:
- Be
passionate about caring for children and young people. - Relevant
Level 3 qualification or higher. - Have
experience of working with children within primary age. - Have
knowledge of matters relating to safeguarding of children. - Have
the ability to display positive social skills and encourage good behaviour in
pupils. - Have
the ability to establish constructive working relationships with pupils,
parents / carers and colleagues. - Have
adequate verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to
communicate effectively with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.
The role will include:
- Interacting
with pupils in ways that support the development of their ability to think and
learn, including the use of careful questioning. - Communicating
effectively with all pupils, families, carers and other agencies. - Helping
support children with their personal, social and emotional development needs. - Encouraging
inclusive and positive play. - Assisting
class teachers in the implementation of appropriate behaviour management and
teaching and learning strategies. - Part
of this role includes supervising the children over lunch time.
