Geography Teacher

We are currently working with a Secondary School in North Cornwall who are looking for a Geography Teacher for one academic term starting in April after the Easter Break until the end of the academic year. This is a full time Geography Teacher role, including planning and marking. The school are rated 'Good' by Ofsted and are loking for a Geography Teacher who can promote the school values of inclusion and respect.

Role of a Geography Teacher:

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements of a Geography Teacher:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching humanities at secondary school level.
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant Geography related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable
