SalaryI am looking to speak with a Geotechnical Engineer with consultancy or GI contracting experience ready for that next step up into consultancy delivering high profile projects throughout the full cycle of contamination and geotechnical design across permanent and temporary works. This role offers a diverse project portfolio across all sectors.
You will have the opportunity to come in as a Geotechnical Engineer and join a new Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental team, getting involved in all aspects of project delivery whilst working for an independent multi-disciplinary consultancy.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be running ground investigations whilst getting trained and developed on all aspects of technical reporting, project management, client liaison and financial management of projects.
Typical reporting includes but not limited to; phase 1, interpretive, remediation, risk assessments, working out bearing capacity/settlements, temporary works, and earthwork specifications etc
The ideal Geotechnical Engineer candidate will have:
- Relevant scientific background in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Proven track record in geo environmental work and experience across a range of projects, ideally gained within a consulting or contracting environment
- Experience in the delivery of site investigations and supervision of subcontractors
- Extensive logging experience and the use of all drill rigs including trial pitting, cable procession, window sampling etc.
- Ideally reporting experience but not necessary.
- Gained all tickets for site works (Cat and Jenny etc.)
- UK driving licence
