Overview:
We are seeking a Collector to join our team. As a Collector, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Duties:
- Contact individuals and businesses via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with debtors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities
- Follow company policies and procedures when dealing with debtors
- Provide excellent customer service while effectively resolving payment issues
- Collaborate with team members to achieve collection targets
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in collections or a related field is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to negotiate effectively and handle difficult conversations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in collections is a plus
