This is a unique opportunity to lead the Finance Technology, Systems & Processes of a hugely successful £3bn+ global retail organisation. In addition to shaping, driving and continually improving finance technology and process, the Head of Finance Systems will immediately play a lead role in the global implementation of a new SAAS finance solution (Workday Financial Management, estimated 3-year program).

We are looking for an exceptional Finance/Accounting Systems leader who can blend a deep knowledge of accounting processes with experience leading large teams to deliver enterprise-scale Finance Systems transformation, whilst also being accountable for the BAU Finance & Systems team for the current landscape. To give an idea of scale, the business employ 20k+ people globally (US, UK, Europe & Australia), working across 1100+ stores, 30 factories, and a logistics operation which delivers to millions of people around the world.

As Head of Finance Systems, you will lead a team of 40+ across the global finance domain, in addition to further permanent, interim and 3rd party resources you engage to deliver the transformation program. The team will consist of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Finance SMEs, Finance Software Support, Software Engineers, Testers.

The Head of Finance Systems will have:

• Proven experience of Finance system leadership in a large, complex business (ideally c. £1bn+ turnover).
• Operated at a global leadership level, with accountability for the design, implementation, continuous evolution and ongoing management of a global finance system.
• A track record leading the end-to-end implementation of significant finance system (e.g. Workday Financial Mgt, Oracle EBS, D365 BC, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven expertise in streamlining financial processes at scale and building strong cross-functional partnerships.
• Ideally a recognised accountancy qualification and/or previous career experience working in an accounting/finance department.
• Exceptional leadership capability. Able to create and lead inclusive teams across the entire landscape of IT, Finance and business.

This is a remote role, with travel to offices in the Midlands and North of England at your discretion. There will also be infrequent travel to the US relating to both the global Workday programme and engagement with the role's US based team.

Excellent Salary/Bonus which sits right at the top of the market.
