Job description

Grade 4 - £ p.a. depending on experience This role will be based on the University campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements. Do you have strong organisational and communication skills?  The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world.  We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities.  Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.   You will provide high level administrative support to a busy student-facing team managing all aspects of Global Opportunities at the University.  This position will play an integral role in supporting the range of opportunities we have such as outgoing study abroad placements, the incoming study abroad programme and Leeds International Summer School (LISS). You will also provide support to the wider team and work with exchange partners to maintain relationships and to provide effective support to students during their time abroad. You will be a strong team player who is flexible, highly organised and has a commitment to providing a quality service. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to work under pressure.  There are two roles available. Global Opportunities Assistant (Outgoing) which will predominantly focus on supporting outgoing study abroad placements and Global Opportunities Assistant (Incoming) which will focus on supporting Leeds International Summer School (LISS) and the incoming study abroad programme.   What we offer in return 26 days holiday plus 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That’s 42 days a year!
