Your Company:The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business to join them on their search for a Global Product Manager to join their team in the Bournemouth area. The company provide excellent solutions to their clients, across a number of niches including aerospace, automotive and industrial, among others. Due to recent success they are investing in their future, expanding many of their internal teams and reaching a wider customer base, requiring a cohesive and proactive support system in place to supplement their offerings.This role sits within the heart of the business, building strong relationships with both the internal business teams, trading partners and the extensive customer base, to ensure all requirements from parties are met and that defined product strategies are created and adhered to. This will be a commercial role, looking at ROI, value propositions and creating methods for cost-reductions and profitability improvements. The crux of the role will be delivering product plans for new and existing products, to support the business through the product lifecycle.Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: Delivering a multigenerational product plan and managing current and new products through the product lifecycle, by establishing strong roadmaps, to ensure product strategies are delivering the most value possible Ensuring that product strategies are aligned to business capabilities in supply chain, technical and manufacturing capabilities Taking the time to research and collate customer requirements, ensuring that these are delivered in final products Understanding the design and engineering perspectives for key products to improve on function and cost efficiency where possible Providing justifications, through the product and its capability to justify proposals for investments regarding manufacturing and technology Taking a lead role in driving the execution cross-functionally of product initiatives and its successful introduction into the market Working cross-functionally with other teams such as marketing to understand the current state of the market, using continual analysis to create future value propositions, and also working with the procurement team to develop component strategies Developing a cost reduction and profitability improvement portfolio based on thorough analysis, research and the review of product spec and customer demands Conducting product pricing management to include initial price for the market, any increases over time and product obsolescenceWhat You Will Need To Apply:To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience gained from commercial roles within a mechanical engineering business, within a B2B global market, whereupon you have taken responsibility for portfolio management of product lines and have managed processes relating to cost-of-ownership, value pricing and ROI. Additional required knowledge includes developing and utilising product line strategies, and cross-functional exposure, working with multiple teams to deliver product introductions to market. Experience in a customer facing role in desired, alongside strong sales knowledge. A bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or other relevant field is highly desirable. This role will require travel both domestically and internationally, potentially up to 25-50% of the time, and therefore applicants must have the ability to conform with this.What You Will Get In Return:For the successful candidate, a base salary of up to GBP60,000 will be on offer, depending on previous experience and relevant knowledge as outlined in the description, to accompany a comprehensive benefits package that will include but is not limited to, a strong bonus potential, generous holiday allocations, additional life insurance opportunities and the option of finishing early on Fridays to promote excellent work-life balance.Moreover, the business will provide fantastic opportunities for development and clear routes of progression within the business.
