This market leading global pharmaceutical firm, renowned for it's presence in the US healthcare market, is looking to as part of a period of growth hire a cutting edge and ambitious strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their specialist generic healthcare function. This organisation prides themselves on delivering the highest quality of product and the most affordable cost, and are looking for someone of a similar passion for the industry to join them.

This role will focus on non-retail products, most likely distributed into hospitals and healthcare practises. You will be tasked on driving value creation initiatives in this division through innovative sourcing strategies and excellent management of product ranges and suppliers. You will also have a strong focus on injectable categories, which is a key portion of this businesses offering.

This broad exposure to a wide range of commodities is unique, meaning the successful individual will need to utilise strong analytical skills & market-knowledge to support project teams in extracting value on products sourced from their global supplier base. Operating in a cross-functional environment, strong communication & engagement skills will be essential as you work alongside the senior leadership team. Who similarly will be offering the successful candidate excellent exposure to development and growth within the organisation.

Global Sourcing specialist role profile:-

• Support sourcing strategy development and deal execution cross multiple pharmaceutical commodities
• Build strategically important supplier relationships with major players in the industry
• Analyse supplier/product performance to advise the leadership team on appropriate go-to-market strategy

Required background:-

• A strong background within product based procurement sourcing, ideally within a pharmaceutical, retail or consumer goods environment
• Ability to analyse data to provide innovative ideas for the development of sourcing strategies within procurement
• Degree, MBA & MCIPS preferred though not at all essential
• Ambition to strive and develop a growing organisation
