What will this role achieve?
pladis is embarking on a new sustainability journey, with an exciting, holistic, Global Sustainability strategy and the building of a new global team. We have exciting ambitions for net zero, SBTi, deforestation free sourcing and raising the bar on sustainability for pladis, with a team now needed to help drive and deliver this step-change.

This is the first additional role in that team, reporting to the Global Director of Sustainability, emphasizing the importance of the data, the reporting and the ability this work has to underpin and help drive the strategy.

As such, this role will own the management of regional and Global Sustainability data, its accuracy and integrity, and the global reporting obligations and requirements ensuring we are "compliance plus". .
What will be your key deliverables?
  • Build, maintain and manage a centralised, due diligence based, global data platform to collate, critique and manage a holistic data management system
  • Be accountable for influencing and delivering against the roadmap with senior stakeholders
  • Working directly with stakeholders in region to understand reporting and challenges around accuracy and integrity and propose ways in which to rectify gaps.
  • Future proofing sustainability within regions by growing and developing future strategies on other areas within sustainability such as waste, sourcing and water to continue to grow our focus on sustainability.
  • Starting with carbon, own and drive the global data collation so we have a global picture of baseline and progress, working with regions to understand the integrity, accuracy and challenges in the reporting, and remediation plans to rectify any gaps. Other sustainability subjects such as waste, sourcing and water will then follow the plan built and deployed, giving this role an opportunity to grow and develop as the strategy matures.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand our sustainability reporting obligations and managing a dashboard to hold us accountable to meeting our obligations today and in the future.
  • Build future plans for new obligations and requirements ensuring there is no duplication across the business and closing any existing gaps
  • Ensuring all required data and materials are obtained by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to allow completion of relevant sustainable reporting requirements overseeing and ensuring alignment with what has been submitted previously and accuracy of data and materials submitted (audit ready).
