Goods In Operative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Goods In Operative to join our busy team at Buxton Butchers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position and at least some understanding of meat and cuts, however training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Receiving Goods Into the factory
- Labelling goods and completing incoming paperwork
- Dealing with returns
- Putting away new goods ensuring adherence to stock rotation policies
- Cleaning of Goods In area and associated fridges and equipment
- Use of trolleys, pallets, and lifting equipment

Requirements:
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
- Ability to adhere to health and safety and food hygiene policies
- Some experience of computer systems / computer use as all products are booked on using our inhouse system
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Capability to handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 6am - 3pm (inclusive of 1 hour or 2x 30minute unpaid lunch breaks) with potential for overtime or some Saturday work as required or offered by the business.

** Candidates will require their own transport to commute to and from our depot in Portbury Docks BS20 0NH **

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
