An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Goods In/Transport Planning Assistant to join our Ossett Logistics team.

THE ROLE: As the primary role of Goods In assistant you will book goods received onto the computer system, liaise with suppliers and the purchasing department regarding shortages, damages or returned goods. Create customer invoices from the delivery notes, amend shortages on delivery notes and work alongside the Stock Controller regarding adjustments, stock control and Chain of Custody.
As Transport Assistant you will work alongside the Transport Supervisor planning the next day deliveries of customer orders in a designated delivery area, create drivers log sheets, clarify delivery addresses and timed drops with the sales team as well as liaise with the Company transport department to arrange the servicing and repair of vehicles. You will be expected provide cover to the Transport Supervisor during holidays.
CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must have the ability to plan, organise and problem solve as well as having a can-do attitude. Previous experience of Goods In is essential and previous experience in transport planning is desirable.
