About the Goods Out Warehouse Supervisor job

The purpose of your role will be to supervise the warehouse and logistics department, and be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate shipment of goods from the warehouse and oversee timely and accurate Goods Out processes.

Key tasks

• Coordinate with other departments to prioritise shipments and meet customer delivery deadlines whilst maintaining inventory accuracy and ensure documentation of outgoing goods are recorded accurately.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to create a secure working environment and establish productive relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers alike.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track shipments and optimize processes whilst being proficient in stock accuracy management, stock counting, and stock location tracking.
• Lead a team with clear communication of plans and processes.
• Commitment to achieving on-time delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction in logistics services.

About You

The successful candidate should possess managing warehouse department teams including training on GMP, personal safety, and food safety protocols with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key hauliers and customer warehouse/logistics departments. You shall be a clear communicator, internally, externally, verbally and written.

• Demonstrate your ability to drive continuous improvement in warehouse and despatch operations with strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of all warehouse and despatch activities.
• Experience in controlling non-conforming stock and ensuring compliance with BRC standards.
• Competent computer level in Microsoft Office and 1 years’ experience of working administratively.  
• Able to operate under pressure and to short deadlines with accuracy.
• Creative, problem solving, and organisational skills, with a can-do attitude.
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and be a team player with the ability to establish productive relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• A proactive approach to issues and situations.

More details

The Goods Out Warehouse Supervisor job is based in Lancashire and is paying between £25,000 - £27,500 per annum according to your experience. Flexibility to provide cover for the warehouse manager when required.

‎The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08.00am to 16.30pm and Fridays 07.30am - 15.00pm.
