Governance Assistant

New Hall Hospital, Salisbury

We have an exciting opportunity for a Governance Assistant to join the friendly and supportive team at New Hall Hospital.


The role
In this role, you will be an integral team member who provides a full comprehensive service to all of our clinical departments within the hospital providing support to the Matron and Quality Improvement Manager in relation to meeting clinical governance requirements and associated reporting and analysis.

To be successful in the role you will need to be service driven, able to work within set timescales in a fast paced, sometimes-high volume environment and have excellent attention to detail in order to spot irregularities within the information provided.

Duties

  • Work in conjunction with the Matron and Quality Improvement Lead to support the Clinical Governance agenda, ensuring audits undertaken, analysed and action planned
  • Follow up actions arising from investigations and reports, track completion and monitor implementation of changes
  • Support HODs in analysing trends for their department, identifying areas for improvement and drive a robust quality improvement cycle.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • Effectively communicate with patients producing a informal/formal complaint and organise efficient investigation to report back actions to the Matron/HOD
  • Treat all customers with respect and equality whilst meeting all aspects of our services in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain communication networks with key senior managers, staff and other stakeholders so that quality business outcomes are achieved
