Governance Support Officer - Flk11190

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team of Committee Officers, with responsibility for providing governance and professional committee services support to the Integration Joint Board (IJB) and its committees; undertake tasks designed to enable the Board to meet its statutory obligations and support the work of the Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

Working within a small team, you will work with the HSCP Chief Officer and Senior Service Manager to ensure all aspects of the IJB committee process is delivered to the highest standard and within agreed statutory and local timescales. You will support the Chief Officer with preparation and issue of IJB reports.

You will ensure that HSCP senior managers are kept informed of progress on agreed work objectives and other operational issues arising, providing governance advice and guidance.

You will make best use of resources, as well as maintaining clear and informative communication on project work. You will be responsible for the organisation of work and prioritisation and use of resources.

You should possess a degree or equivalent professional qualification in management or public administration. An awareness of issues affecting HSCP and local government, experience of relevant legislation and knowledge in decision-making in local government and/or NHS is required.

Based in Democratic Services within Governance, the post holder will be required to work in a mobile/flexible environment, working between the Foundry and the Stadium, Falkirk. This opportunity is a full-time position for a period of 2 years. For further information please contact:-
