The Head of Office Estates is a strategic role within DoF and is a particularly challenging and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate. The post holder will be responsible for transforming the Estate to meet the changing needs of the NICS following the implementation of the hybrid working policy and for our commitment to decarbonise our Estate portfolio.The Head of Office Estates will lead a dedicated team committed to reforming the NICS office estate and support decision-making by Ministers and Senior Officials. 1. Are a Registered Architect, Chartered Engineer, Chartered Building/Quantity Surveyor or CharteredConstruction Manager or hold an equivalent professional qualificationAND2. Have at least 3 years experience, gained within the last 7 years, in setting the strategic direction in estate management and development,EC2 CONTINUEDincluding leading on: building purchasing, disposal and leasing transactions, dilapidations, coordinating legal, technical and financial input and liaising with owners and agents;AND3. Have at least 3 years experience at senior management level of successfully leading and managing a team to deliver high quality property management services (including construction projects) over multiple sites and business areas.EC3 CONTINUEDThis should include management of resources (both physical and financial) to deliver key organisational outcomes;AND4. Experience at senior management level of effective and collaborative partnership working, demonstrating the ability to establish strong working relationships,EC4 CONTINUEDengage, manage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders to successfully achieve strategic outcomes.
