Graduate Accounts Assistant

Graduate Assistant Accountant, £24,000+benefits, Bracknell (Contract) 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our clients finance team as an Entry-Level Accounts Payable Specialist. This position offers a great opportunity for recent accounting graduates to kickstart their career in a supportive and collaborative work environment. Acting as cover this role will be running for a minimum of 6 months, however is likely to run for a year. 

Key Responsibilities for the Graduate Assistant Accountant: 

• Receive, review, and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Verify that invoices have proper approval and documentation before processing.

• Accurately input invoice data into the accounting system.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.

• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other related matters.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth transactions.

• Assist in the preparation of payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.

• Ensure all payments are processed on time and in accordance with company policies.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.

• Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Communicate with employees to resolve any issues related to expense reimbursement.

Qualifications and Experience for Graduate Assistant Accountant: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
