LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group (RSG) - UX Visual Design Graduate Programme is the perfect way to start your career.
The Programme
You will join a structured and well-developed 2 year rotational program aimed at developing great Visual Designers. You will complete a 2 year placement at ICIS (
www.icis.com
).
The role
On the ICIS placement you will gain exposure to different tools, stakeholders and diverse insights into customer needs, priorities, and expectations. Gain an understand of how UI design impacts the overall user experience. You will play a supporting role in defining the visual identity of our products and marketing materials including the colour scheme, typography, iconography, and other details. We have a very active UX/UI community across the group which works collectively to share best practice and keep each other up to date on tools and techniques.
Apply if you:
Have a strong logical mind, a good design eye and the ability to see things from someone else’s point of view. This role requires creativity, you will learn to tell a good story to communicate the user needs to your team and sell your design solution to them.
A successful candidate will:
  • Studying or studied a degree or higher qualification in a related discipline e.g. HCI, user experience, product design, graphic design, interaction design, usability. Candidates from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply if you can demonstrate that you have design skills and interest in UX / Visual Design
  • A fluency in current graphic design and typographical trends, with a keen eye for composition, clarity, and usability.
  • Have an appreciation of UX/UI design methodologies and trends
  • Familiar with design software such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, AdobeXD, InVision DSM or similar
  • Hold a portfolio showing examples of your work (can be coursework, work experience or personal blog)
  • Familiarity with UX research methods
Training & Development
You will receive a blend of technical and people skills development that will help you develop into a well-rounded team member. This is important as it’s not just what you do, but how you do it that is important to us.
Initially you will be immersed into an intensive, but rewarding, 2–3-week induction bootcamp and will be part of a wider graduate community with frequent socials including charity days and diversity and inclusion events. We work to a 70/20/10 learning model with 70% of your learning on the job, 20% informal learning and 10% from formal educational learning.
