Title: Graduate Buyer/Procurement

Location: Great Glasgow Area

Salary: Up to £25k DOE​

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor stock and help provide accurate forecasts to meet product demand – KPIs
• Help identify the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
• Develop and maintain good relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
• Provide accurate and timely processing of administrative requirements
• Help provide accurate and timely analysis through data monitoring
• Provide timely and regular reports to support SMT market understanding
• Liaise with suppliers to support team plan, keeping and maintaining appropriate records as required
• Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures
• Ensure consistent and timely attendance at work
• Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
• Provide pro- and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers

Skills Required:

• A good working understanding of Excel is essential
• The ability to easily communicate with internal/external stakeholders
• Results-driven, with some commercial thinking
• Enjoying challenge and variety
• Good communication skills – strong team collaborator
• Attentive to detail
• Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn
• Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2
• Sound IT and report writing skills
• Speaking, writing and understanding excellent spoken and written in English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)
• Good numeracy skills
