We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Technology Graduate to join our team as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). While experience with Oracle databases is desirable, we welcome candidates with a strong foundation in database concepts or application servers and a willingness to learn.

What you'll be doing

1. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software and related products.

2. Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Oracle databases.

3. Monitor and optimize database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager and SQL Tuning Advisor.

4. Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.

5. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

6. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications.

7. Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and migrations.

8. Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Application server experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Oracle databases is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of database administration principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
