Graduate Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor role is an entry-level position within a thriving FMCG industry, offering a solid foundation in what life is like at a FTSE listed organisation. The role requires an individual with a keen interest in audit, willingness to learn and to be part of a team delivering the yearly Audit Plan.

Description

• Completing scheduled site reviews to identify areas of control strength/weakness in support of the Group Audit Plan
• Make recommendations to Senior Management to improve the overall control environment, abiding by Group policies to reduce the risk of fraud
• Support in the preparation of Internal Audit reports, which are presented to the Board and Audit Committee
• Maintain databases, monitoring any highlighted recommendations and commenting on progress made
• Engaging with any improvements made to the Internal Audit function- methodologies, ways of working etc.
• Travel to UK sites around the Group to engaging with different departments, obtaining evidence and performing Audit procedures
• Reviewing Group policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
• Supporting the Group Internal Audit Team as a whole, including for ad-hoc reviews/projects

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or appropriate Internal Audit experience.
• Excellent numerical and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Ability to work under their own initiative
