Description
- Completing scheduled site reviews to identify areas of control strength/weakness in support of the Group Audit Plan
- Make recommendations to Senior Management to improve the overall control environment, abiding by Group policies to reduce the risk of fraud
- Support in the preparation of Internal Audit reports, which are presented to the Board and Audit Committee
- Maintain databases, monitoring any highlighted recommendations and commenting on progress made
- Engaging with any improvements made to the Internal Audit function- methodologies, ways of working etc.
- Travel to UK sites around the Group to engaging with different departments, obtaining evidence and performing Audit procedures
- Reviewing Group policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
- Supporting the Group Internal Audit Team as a whole, including for ad-hoc reviews/projects
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or appropriate Internal Audit experience.
- Excellent numerical and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Ability to work under their own initiative
