Are you an aspiring Solicitor looking to qualify at the world’s premier entertainment company?

As a Graduate Legal Apprentice, you’ll be working side-by-side with industry leaders, immersing yourself in the world-renowned family of our brands. But that's not all – you'll also be on a transformative journey towards achieving your Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) qualifications.

This opportunity is based in Disney's Hammersmith Office and will require you to be on-site four days per week.

What will I be doing?

During the three-year programme, you’ll be immersed in up to a year across dynamic departments, gaining hands-on experience which will set you up for an extraordinary legal career.

You will spend up to a year in the following departments:

Studio and Direct-to-Consumer:

From supporting the distribution of Disney's blockbuster movies to contributing to the success of Disney+, you'll be at the forefront of the entertainment industry.

Disney Consumer Products:

You'll play a pivotal role in bringing the magic of Disney directly to our fans worldwide supporting with licensing and direct distribution of Disney-branded merchandise,

Media Distribution:

You'll be involved in supporting the distribution of Disney's movies, TV series, television channels, and the ever-expanding Disney+. Your contribution will be key to delivering Disney's storytelling to diverse audiences globally.

During each rotation, you’ll engage in a wide array of tasks, including:

  • Drafting and Legal Reviews: Hone your legal skills by drafting documents and conducting legal reviews.

  • Research: Dive into legal research, staying ahead of industry trends and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Contract Administration: Learn the intricacies of contract management and administration, developing a keen eye for detail.

  • General Commercial Legal Work: Contribute to the success of your department teams through diverse legal tasks, gaining a holistic understanding of commercial legal operations.

Become a Qualified Solicitor

In tandem with your immersive work experience across our diverse legal landscape, we will be funding your educational journey. You will also be on the path to becoming a qualified solicitor undertaking the Solicitor Apprentice Standard Level 7.

This scheme will start in August 2024, in partnership with The University of Law. You’ll be provided with dedicated time outside of your full-time role at The Walt Disney Company each week, to study for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • You must comply with the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

  • Be on track for a UK bachelor’s degree in law at 2.2 or above or equivalent.

  • GCSE English and Maths at Level C/4 or above (or equivalent).

  • Be legally allowed to work in the UK.

  • Be willing to commit to a 3-year apprenticeship engagement.

  • Available to join in August 2024.
