Job Description – Graduate Paralegal
In this Graduate Paralegal job in London, you will be responsible for the administrative duties of the wayleave and procurement process as well as assisting the law firm in its general work.
Your tasks will range from collating documents for a telecoms client, to updating the wayleave and supplier databases and tackling ad-hoc reports.
You will receive training and explanation on the process from lawyers and the client and work under their supervision - in time, you may have the opportunity to be involved in the review and negotiation of wayleaves and supplier agreements, under supervision.
Key responsibilities - Graduate Paralegal
In this Junior Law job in London, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the team of transactional and commercial lawyers (i.e. non-disputes) working on commercial, corporate, employment, and related matters for a wide range of clients
- Taking on legal research activities
- Entering information into the database (wayleaves for proposed sites)
- Tracking wayleaves through the sales process (standard and negotiated)
- Producing weekly status reports as well as ad-hoc reports, when requested
- Assisting in the development of workflow and risk management systems for clients
- Providing administrative support for key client accounts – matter, time and costs reporting, current matter tracking
- Participating in legal training events, with the opportunity to develop legal and practical knowledge
Job requirements - Graduate Paralegal
- A 2.1 or above in Law and/or equivalent degree - GDL and LPC preferred
- Experience working in a client-facing professional environment
- Top written and verbal communication skills
- Strong eye for detail and methodical mindset
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite
