Graduate Pipelines Engineer
We have an opportunity for a Graduate Pipelines Engineer to join us in our UK Offshore Energy Team based in London.
What is the Offshore Energy team and what do they do?
Offshore Energy Operations is a diverse team working across Offshore Wind and Conventional Energy, Pipelines and Subsea, Asset Solutions and Advanced Analysis projects.
As a graduate under the supervision and mentorship within our team, you will focus your learning to apply theoretical principles to defined tasks. You will be involved in the review of project processes, utilising your current knowledge-based experience whilst learning the broader principles related to Pipelines Engineering.
Our structured programme is designed to provide graduates joining the Offshore Energy community of Worley with first-hand training and development, ensuring that they gain the knowledge, skills and experience required for them to contribute positively to the wider Worley business.
Our team gets involved a wide range of projects so throughout your programme, your assignments will vary and may include (but not limited to) modelling, research design, installation, commissioning of equipment, maintenance and construction.
You’ll be
- Working within exciting Offshore Energy and new energy projects. You will have opportunities to work in disciplines that make-up our skill set, these include: Pipelines, Structures, materials, flow assurance, asset integrity and advanced analysis.
- Working within our team supporting by preparing calculations, models, technical reports, designs bases and scopes, drawings and other related deliverables
- Implementing planning and design processes which will include; analysis and selection of resources/processes/systems, developing and checking solutions using the engineering specification, arranging design tasks to meet agreed outcomes
- Analysing and interpreting client requirements to ensure that all appropriate specifications are included in the design requirements and brings to the client’s attention options for an improved environmental outcome
- Ensuring that supporting documentation required to implement the design is accurate, concise, complete and clear, and that documentation remains current during design development.
- Assisting in planning and implementing safety, loss control and environmental programmes
- Inputting into potential improvements to existing methods and techniques to aid both cost reductions and improved sustainability in assigned work areas
- Investigating and analysing possible design concepts and applying innovative approaches to achieve design requirements
You’ll have
- You will be in your final year of study of a bachelor’s or master’s level degree or have graduated within the past 3 years from any of the following degree disciplines; Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering/Naval Architecture or a related discipline
