About the opportunit y
At Jacobs, our Decommissioning & Regeneration Solutions business brings decades of experience to decommissioning and clean-up, drawn from our work at the world's most challenging nuclear sites. Safety case management, environmental and radiological consultancy, and health physics support go hand in hand with our core engineering capabilities, ensuring an unrelenting safety ethos. We apply strategies to minimize waste volumes requiring final disposal and we implement innovative decommissioning and decontamination processes for U.K. clients includingSellafield Ltd., Magnox Ltd and Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd.
Planning and Scheduling are the processes used to determine the activities required to deliver a project, and the logical relationship between them, to provide a baseline of how the project will be delivered and how progress will be measured . Working alongside Project Managers and/or Project Controls Managers, our Graduate Planni ng Engineers play a key role in the delivery of our service to our clients . You will be trained to use specialist software to develop plans and schedule, and be responsible for gathering, sorting, analysing and presenting a wide variety of information and data, and collaborating with the other disciplines of project controls, including estimating, cost control, and risk management .
You will be based in our Winnersh office.
Here's What You'll Need:
  • You could be worki n g towards a Degree level qualification in a relevant subject such as Cost , Financ e, Project Management or Business . However, t he role doesn't require any prior knowledge or experience in these specific areas, as you'll learn through the programme, but you do need an analytical mind, methodical approach and a desire to positively influence project outcomes.
  • A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward .
  • Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things .
  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK .
