Randstad are currently looking for a Planning Engineer to work on Hs2 between Milton Keynes and Bicester for a large contractor.
Be able to take off drawings and produce programmes from first principles (within areas described above).
Proficient with using P6 - progress updating with Multiple Float Path analysis, managing resources and exporting to generate S-Curves for production teams, Adding new activities to capture CE-items
Proficient creating content for Narratives - template narrative provided which would need to be updated monthly along with P6 update
Capable of running planning catch-up meeting with delivery teams - update established template and capture progress in the week and identify delays or issues which would be CE- items
Update Crest Software Project programme - training will be provided (software simpler than P6 and similar in function to MS Project)
Able to use Baselines to show variance in progressed performance
Update tracker spreadsheets - established files which require weekly information added - can be transferred to delivery teams but needs review and validation
Able to generate focused programmes and simplify to nominal number of lines to be used to explain to Senior PM's and Project Director Progression available to next level within Planning or pre-construction
