Company Overview
One of the largest and most stable electronic employers in the area who supply to the aerospace and defence sectors are looking for a new Graduate Process Engineer to join their team.
As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will develop new processes for new products, improve existing process to maximise production efficiency and support the manufacture of volume product lines. This is a broad and varied role; you will be trained to support all processes involved in the manufacture of products for the power solutions division.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in an electronic related engineering discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Awareness of manufacturing chip and wire assembly is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and concepts; Lean, 8D, Design of experiments.
- CAD experience/knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day support of production and troubleshooting issues within manufacturing.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Investigation of equipment failures.
- Designing or sub-contracting the design of jigs and fixtures.
- Participating in longer term team projects.
- Setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Update/produce technical documentation such operating instructions, inspection standards and PFMEA.
- Provide training and support to production operators.
