Company Overview

One of the largest and most stable electronic employers in the area who supply to the aerospace and defence sectors are looking for a new Graduate Process Engineer to join their team.

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will develop new processes for new products, improve existing process to maximise production efficiency and support the manufacture of volume product lines. This is a broad and varied role; you will be trained to support all processes involved in the manufacture of products for the power solutions division.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in an electronic related engineering discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Awareness of manufacturing chip and wire assembly is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and concepts; Lean, 8D, Design of experiments.
• CAD experience/knowledge.
  

Responsibilities:

• Day to day support of production and troubleshooting issues within manufacturing.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Investigation of equipment failures.
• Designing or sub-contracting the design of jigs and fixtures.
• Participating in longer term team projects.
• Setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Update/produce technical documentation such operating instructions, inspection standards and PFMEA.
• Provide training and support to production operators.
