We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Project Engineer to join our client's team based in Thornaby on Tees on a full time permanent basis.
Our client's manufacturing technologies are precision non-contact machining and joining processes, utilising advanced lasers and electrical-discharge systems.
Their engineering team are responsible for design-for-manufacture, prototyping, process development, qualification approvals and preparation for full production.
Duties within this role are as follows:
- Assist in the development of projects from receipt of purchase order through release to production.
- Assess the technical and commercial requirements of enquiries.
- Support the New Product Introduction process.
- Assist in the management, maintenance, and development of customer accounts.
- Preparation of quotations.
- Preparation of project documentation including: PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow.
- Assist in process validation activities.
- Support customer enquiries.
- Administer the customer system files.
- Processing of customer orders including works order creation.
- Additional activities as required.
Experience/Requirements:
- The Project Engineer would benefit from a good technical background.
- The role involves direct interaction with customers, sub-contractors and internal resources, so comfort in those situations is important.
