You’ll have a varied role and will be looking after existing customers, and finding new ones, with a view to increasing sales.
The business has 2 divisions: one which provides manufacturing and project management services; and another that provides CNC machine technology through its partnerships with well-known machine manufacturers.
You’ll be dealing with companies from many engineering sectors, such as Aerospace, Defence, Space, Science, Electric Vehicles, and more.
While a lot of contact will be through email, or phone, there will also be face to face meetings. And you’ll get to attend events and exhibitions.
TRAINING AND PROSPECTS…
This position is pivotal to strengthening the team in a key area; plus there is investment in new technologies.
In time, as you grow into the role, there could be scope to be responsible for the department; with future management opportunities as the team grows.
You’ll receive full training from the Managing Director; he has 20 years’ experience in production and operations, do there is loads you can learn from him.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED…
Engineering knowledge is an advantage, as you will be required to read drawings and data and understand manufacturing processes. But other degree types will be considered if you have some sales experience, and an aptitude for the engineering side.
You’ll need plenty of confidence, as you'll be dealing with people. And some resilience to handle the times when it may not go so well.
WHERE YOU’LL BE DOING IT…
The office is based in Wallingford, a town to the south of Oxford; commutable from areas including Reading, Didcot, Abingdon, and High Wycombe. There is some scope to work from home part of the time.
