Based: Scottish Borders (Site Based)
Salary: Up to £30,000 Per Annum + Company Car (after probationary period)
Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division are working on an exclusive retained basis with our client, a successful manufacturing organisation based in the Scottish Borders to recruit a Graduate Sales Executive.
Based within a supportive and established sales team, you will benefit from a structured training programme estimated to last 6 to 12 months where you will learn and develop into a Sales Executive, progressing to further sales career opportunities internally in the future.
You will provide support to the Sales Managers, act as a first point of contact for existing customers, attend face to face customer meetings in the UK, Europe and Asia whilst developing your product knowledge and sales experience in order to identify new business development opportunities in the future.
Responsibilities include
- Build long-term relationships with customers including prestigious customers brands and some blue chip organisations
- Provide product specification, availability and pricing to customers
- Produce quotes and follow up on quotes as required
- Provide first point of contact for all customer queries
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend and profitability to reach business objectives
- Deal with customers over the telephone, by email, MS Teams and in person as required, initially shadowing Sales Managers during training period
- Achieve KPI's as agreed in line with priorities during training period for example meeting customer query response times etc
- Liaise and build relationships with internal teams in the UK and abroad
- Produce reports for internal stakeholders and customers as required
- Attend and contribute to sales team meetings
- Progress throughout training period and in time, be able to identify and follow up on new business sales leads and identify new sales opportunities
Background required
- Educated to degree level ideally in a related subject such as Business, Marketing, Economics etc
- Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment, this could be hospitality, leisure, retail etc, previous experience of providing exceptional service levels
- Strong communication skills, this would include verbal and written with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
- Looking to develop your career in sales and commit to a structured training programme to develop your sales experience
- UK driving licence is essential
- Flexibility to travel within the UK which may require overnight stays on a monthly basis and some international travel, potentially 3 - 4 times per annum increasing in the future
- Positive, self-motived, "can do" attitude
- Excellent team player whilst able to use your own initiative to complete tasks by deadlines
- Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- This role is site based during the training period therefore the ability to commute a responsible distance within the Scottish Borders is essential
