Graduate Software Tester required to join Cloud Software Provider and join ambitious forward-thinking collaborative team. This is an entry-level position, ideal for recent graduates who are committed to develop themselves and are looking to kick-start their career.
Location: Remote - must be UK based and able to travel to central London office once or twice a month.
Salary: £27,000 + benefits (25 days holidays + birthday off, WFH allowance, cycle to work & tech schemes, social events).

Role
As a Graduate Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software products. You will collaborate with the development team to identify, report, and track issues, as well as participate in test planning, execution, and documentation. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic software development environment.
Don’t worry, you won’t expect you to be proficient straight away, however, they do expect you to learn quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Execution:
- Execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Identify and report defects, issues, and anomalies in a clear and concise manner using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported issues.
Test Planning and Design:
- Participate in test planning sessions to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
- Contribute to the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
Documentation, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Create detailed and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Participate in team meetings, providing insights and suggestions to improve software quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.
- Contribute ideas to enhance the overall testing process and the quality of the software.
Skills and experience valued in your role
- A bachelor's degree ideally in a numerate subject such as Maths, Physics, Computer Science.
- Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in software testing.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing concepts.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, Python, SQL) is a plus.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, techniques, and tools (e.g., manual testing, automated testing, Selenium, JUnit).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
