The Opportunity:
- Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Graduates with a grade/predicted grade of 2:2 or above Hons degree required
- Aspiring teachers/educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
- To work in one school for the full academic year
- 1-2-1 & Small Group work
- Secondary schools in Weston-Super-Mare
- Full-time roles – Monday - Friday
- September 2024 Start - July 2025
- There may be an opportunity to start this academic year but must be able to work from September 2024.
- £450 - £490 per week, term time only
The successful graduate must:
- Be enthusiastic, confident and approachable
- Have strong subject knowledge within English Maths and Science (GCSE A* - C)
- Be able to work effectively as party of a large team
- Have strong communication and behaviour skills
- Be able to inspire and motivate children in the classroom
- Have high expectations and be committed to seeing all children reach their full potential
- Be able to deliver well structured lessons for small groups/1:1 sessions
- Be flexible and self-motivated
In this role, you will focus on managing students during class-based activities. Additionally, you will be required to work with small groups both inside and outside the classroom and lead 1:1 sessions. Furthermore, you will be required to assist the class teacher in preparing and setting up class activities.
