Sidcup Vets for Pets is looking for a new or recently graduated vet to join their team and our award-winning graduate scheme.
With great transportation links into central London and Kent, Sidcup Vets for Pets is a standalone building on a busy parade of shops and cafes. The location will give the successful candidate the best of both worlds, with being only 40 minutes away on public transport into the buzz of the city of London and on the edge of the picturesque county of Kent, well known for its history, countryside and coast.
The team comprises of a Lead Vet and two other experienced vets, all with varied interests and skills such as ECC, Surgery, Ultrasound and Internal Medicine to support your growth. Even better, two of our vets including our Lead vet went through the graduate programme themselves. The nursing team includes three qualified nurses, SVN and VCA team which are vital to allow you to be a vet knowing that your patients are receiving the very best care.
You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated mentor/Vet GDP Advisor, you’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the varied CPD programme designed by vets specifically for new graduates. As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see the continuity of cases with the support of your wider team. You won’t be in sole charge of cases until you’re ready.
The role is full-time, 40 hours a week. There will be a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saurdays to start with, once confident in sole charge, the weekend rota will be 1 in 4 Saturdays.
As a standard on the Graduate Development Programme, we offer a 2-year programme with no financial tie-ins, guaranteed starting salary of at least £34,000 per annum with reviews each year on programme, 10-12 clinical/non-clinical structure CPD days a year with covered travel costs, access to wellbeing support and free membership of wellbeing app and support with practice transfer should the need to arise.
