ob Description

The Grants and Partnerships Administrator role sits within the Grants and Partnerships Team as part of the wider Income Diversification Unit in the Corporate Services Division. The Grants and Partnerships Team works with colleagues across the organisation to secure funding and establish collaborations and partnerships with charities, universities, industry and other organisations to enable the RCPCH to deliver on its objective of improving health outcomes for infants, children and young people.


The postholder will provide general administrative support to the Grants and Partnerships Team to identify a wide range of funders and support teams in collating information for funding proposals. An important part of this role will be building and maintaining communications with stakeholders and partners associated with the team’s work. It is anticipated that the postholder will assist in the implementation of a fundraising communications plan that will enable continuous improvements in communicating the College’s grants and fundraising activities and wider income diversification work to both internal and external audiences. You will also provide general administrative support, where necessary, to the wider Income Diversification Unit and have opportunities to assist with some of the commercial partnerships and governance work.


This role requires a high level of attention to detail as well as responsibility in managing your own workload, working independently and as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

G
  • eneral administrative support to the Grants and Partnerships Team and point of contact for grants and fundraising queries.
A
  • ssist the wider Income Diversification (ID) Unit with general administrative tasks, where necessary, including support with meetings, tracking tasks and actions and collating funding information for internal and external stakeholders.
S
  • upport the Grants and Partnerships Team on horizon scanning for funding opportunities from grant-giving organisations, statutory bodies, charities, corporates, trusts and foundations, bilateral and multilateral funders.
A
  • ssist with the collation of information for grant applications, fundraising appeals and cases for support.
M
  • aintain existing spreadsheets, files and folder systems to support effective oversight of the College’s grants and partnerships activities. Work with the Grants and Partnerships team and wider ID team to continually improve the processes, systems, structures and databases which are used to hold ID data.
R
  • egularly review and update the RCPCH funding database and track subscriptions to other grants and fundraising databases.
C
  • ollate information and materials as requested by the Head of Grants and Partnerships for the Senior Leadership Team, Trustees, Officers, Funders and Donors. This will include working with the Finance department to help source essential financial information and help in the design of new financial reporting.
A
  • ssist with the review and update of the fundraising pages on the RCPCH website.

    • ssist with organising funding meetings and events as required (including handling communications, venues, catering and travel as needed).

upport colleagues across the College to produce communication and fundraising literature for a range of audiences (newsletters, conferences etc.) using a variety of communication mechanisms including internet, intranet and social media.

Skills Required

Essential skills

  • ducated to ‘A’ Level or relevant experience in a similar line of work

  • elevant administrative experience, including scheduling meetings and minute-taking

  • trong communication skills, both oral and written including good report writing skills and the ability to present information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels

  • bility to deliver multiple objectives within short time frames to high standards and to meet multiple deadlines

  • bility to act to minimise errors and inaccuracies, maintaining high standards of accuracy and correctness in dealing with information and data

  • ell-developed experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
