The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Service Line based in Carlisle.
The overall purpose of the Graphic Designer role is to design and produce marketing materials and digital designs suitable for print and use online as well as assisting with other marketing and design tasks as required by the firm.
The main elements of this role will include:
- Producing artwork for print and online media using Adobe Creative Suite including and not limited to InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Making use of other approved online and offline design tools for digital design production including animation, gifs, presentations, video etc
- Working with direction from the Marketing Team and external agencies on individual tasks and campaigns to produce brochures, leaflets, banners, wall graphics, signage, logos, emails, adverts, newsletters, stationery, digital advertising etc
- Being a guardian of the Armstrong Watson brand in visual and written content
- Being responsible for maintaining brand guidelines
- Liaising with offices and service lines on project briefings
The Candidate
In order to fulfil the role, we expect a candidate to be:
- An experienced professional in Graphic Design
- Able to evidence completion of a relevant BA degree (for example a degree in graphic design, illustration or equivalent)
- Confident when using creative applications and softwares
- Comfortable working within a fast paced environment
- A dedicated team player and willing to assist colleagues within the team where possible
- A good problem solver and have excellent attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written forms
- Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
- Able to demonstrate initiative and contribute ways in which current processes can be made more effective for the team and clients
