A small, hard-working but very friendly and successful publishing company with a range of publications reporting on the sports industry. Looking for an enthusiastic individual who has experience in a publishing environment and is interested in a long-term career in design. Due to publication deadlines Saturday working is essential.
What will you do
- Working on weekly newspapers and monthly magazines
- Create projects from brief to conception, developing concepts, providing quality creative and design for print and websites
- Deliver high-quality creative, working in both print and digital ensuring all artwork created is of the highest standard and complies with brand guidelines
- Liaise constantly with the editorial and the rest of the design team to ensure deadlines are met
- Produce design creative for a range of digital and print products
- Review and proof work to ensure the company’s high standards are met
- Maintain brand consistency throughout all the projects
- The working week is Tuesday to Saturday, going to print late on a Saturday evening.
- Candidate can work from home for the weekdays but would need to be in the Wimbledon office for production each Saturday.
What do you need
- Degree in graphic design or related field is preferable
- Graphic Design background and experience in Sports Publishing would be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of colour theory, typography, print and digital
- Adobe Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat, Microsoft suite
- Interest in Sport would also be a bonus
